RELEASE

Ashirase Inc. (hereinafter, “Ashirase”) will collaborate with Lumine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Lumine”) and East Japan Railway Company (hereinafter, “JR East”)
to create an environment where visually impaired people can move safely and independently from stations to commercial facilities.

A demonstration of “Mobility Support for Visually Impaired People” will be conducted at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY on Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21, 2026.

⚫ Using Ashirase’s shoe-mounted navigation device “Ashirase” (hereinafter, “Ashirase”),

visually impaired individuals will be guided seamlessly from Takanawa Gateway Station to the “NEWoMan TAKANAWA” store, both indoors and outdoors.
In addition, shopping will be supported through remote visual assistance using smartphones.

⚫ Through this demonstration, we will verify the effectiveness and user experience of
seamless indoor-outdoor mobility support services, contributing to the realization of TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY’s vision of creating a city
where everyone can go wherever they want and enjoy a variety of experiences.

(1) Implementation Overview
Period: February 20th (Fri) and 21st (Sat), 2026
Location: "NEWoMan TAKANAWA" in front of Takanawa Gateway Station
Target: We will recruit participants mainly from "Ashirase" users in advance.
*We are not accepting applications from the general public this time.

(2) About the shoe-mounted navigation device "Ashirase"
This is a navigation device for visually impaired people that conveys the direction of travel and turning timing
through vibrations delivered to the feet via a shoe-mounted device, enabling intuitive movement.
It can be used with a smartphone kept in your pocket and supports mobility
without interfering with the use of a white cane or auditory cues for safety.

(3) Demonstration flow

1. Supporting movement to cooperating stores in “NEWoMan TAKANAWA”
Participants will wear the “Ashirase” device, which uses vibrations to the feet to guide them from outside the ticket gates of Takanawa Gateway Station
to the entrance of “NEWoMan TAKANAWA” and further to the cooperating stores.

2. Supporting the shopping experience at “NEWoMan TAKANAWA”
Using a remote visual assistance service for visually impaired people
(“iCoSupport” by Prime Assistance Co., Ltd.), which provides support through a “human eye” via smartphone,
participants can receive help with various shopping needs, such as checking products or locating staff.
