aba is a startup with the vision of "using technology to create a society where everyone wants to provide care," and aims to improve productivity and the quality of care in nursing care settings through the development and provision of the HelpPad, a bed-mounted excretion detection sensor. Since its founding in 2011, the company has worked on developing both hardware and software from scratch, and in 2019 released the first model in collaboration with another company. In 2023, the company announced a second-generation original model with significantly improved functionality. The company continues to grow steadily while steadily expanding its sales channels.

In Japan, the number of people requiring care continues to increase due to the declining birthrate and aging population. However, the gap between supply and demand for caregivers continues to widen due to the serious shortage of caregivers.
